About Karigraphy Calligraphy
Karen Nordstrom Roberts
I began my fascination with lettering when I received a fountain pen as a gift from my brother.
More than 25 years later, that first step grew into a long and meandering journey. I've studied the lettering arts from historical hands to traditional scripts and modern calligraphy. There is always something new to learn with this beautiful art form. And so many ways to express yourself artistically. My greatest joy is sharing my love of calligraphy and letters of every size and shape with others who have a similar curiosity and passion. I've taught pointed pen and broad-edge calligraphy online and in person for more than 12 years. Currently, I am serving as the President of the Calligraphy Guild of Pittsburgh. I've worked in the non-profit sector as a pr, marketing, and fund-raising professional. My education is a business/marketing degree from Ohio State and a masters degree in public management from Carnegie Mellon. In addition to lettering, I enjoy photography and botanical art. When I don't have a pen in my hand, I'm probably holding a camera or a paint brush. |
