Classes

Karigraphy offers classes regularly. Scheduled classes can be registered for below. If you are interested in scheduling Karigraphy for a private class you can contact her via email.

Current Class Offerings

Copperplate: Beyond the Basics
  • If you have taken a pointed pen calligraphy class before, this class will take you beyond the basics and teach you how to create fluidity and add elegance to your letters, refine the capital letters, and add flourishing. You'll work with a pointed metal nib dipped in ink and paint including black sumi ink, an opaque watercolor called gouache, and metallics. There will 4 small class projects to complete as homework.

Beginning Modern Calligraphy
  • Learn the fundamentals of Modern Calligraphy in this four week ONLINE via Zoom class. You'll learn how to get started by preparing and using a pointed pen, dipping in ink, and making the basic shapes that comprise this lively lettering style.
